Apparently VicTas finished in 5th place out of teams. More details one day perhaps.

The Southern Regional Ultimate Championships in 2010 was held in the middle of nowhere, somewhere south of Melbourne. The inaugural Bad Apples team set out for Victoria with the aim to qualify for nationals. We knew this wouldn't be an easy task, but were ready to give it all we had. We started out playing the top seed in our pool, Heads of State.
We came out firing in this game, getting a quick turn and scoring, then trading to be 2-1 up. Baker was being his usual self and then some, proving to his erstwhile HoS teammates how valuable he is. HoS took a timeout to sort out their tactics and settle down, and some cool-headed offence saw them slowly get ahead. As is always the case with Tassie teams, our match fitness was telling, with some poor choices and throws coming from tiredness. We weren't out of this game until after half, and acquitted ourselves well.
QFC were a bunch of athletic newbies with a couple of experienced players. Their game plan was simple and great to watch when it worked, hucking long. Even when we stayed deep of them, they managed to score at times. Our experience was telling in this game, and although QFC took a few points in the first half, we managed to hold them scoreless in the second half. QFC will be dangerous in the future, and had a lot of fun (ended as well deserved spirit winners).
A tight game between tired teams. Karma got very frustrated at each other as we changed up with zone and force-middle defence. Their long Pillar and Huy long game was shut down, forcing them to work it up. Repeated handling errors gave us a glimpse and we traded points for most of the game. Karma's depth finally made the difference, and they won a great game that Bad Apples took a lot out of.
GFUC were missing some of their talent to Junior world commitments, and this showed. We put on a zone for most of the game, and the lack of handling skill got repeated turnovers. Our win was soured by an injury to Stan, who was out for the tournament.
With Stan, JK, Steve, and Will out for various reasons, we were down to one sub. Chilly B had a lot of talented players, but had a large team, disrupting any continuity they may develop. We had opportunities to win this game, and played well with Andy having an outstanding game. In the end Chilly B had more in the tank, and won a tight game.
A win for the ages! With Tim and Huddy being further omissions, Bad Apples picked up Emily Johnson and Shelley Slater. Baker kicked it up a gear and was indomitable throughout. With 5th place and nationals qualification on the line, Bad Apples managed to overcome a determined Chilly B.
Bad Apples claimed 5th, one above their seed, and Mike Baker won a deserved MVP.
