Congratulations to Bush who finished in 7th place in the women's division at the Australian Ultimate Championships, 5 places higher than their seeding and finishing as the second ranked team out of the 4 women's teams from the southern region. Bush started slowly with a win and two losses on the first day, sending them to a lower pool (ranking 9-14). However, they were undefeated in their next 4 games in the lower pool, and by finishing top of this pool this gave Bush the opportunity to beat the 4th seed (which they achieved), for a chance to play off for places 5-8. This result was a significant improvement on the team's 11th place finish in 2007 and is the best final result for any Tasmanian representative team at the Australian Ultimate Championships.
